A celebration of life will be held for Zachary Barnes, 24, of Lacona on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lacona City Park. Please follow social distancing guidelines. Masks are encouraged. Zachary Eugene Barnes was born in Creston, Iowa on September 19, 1995 to Teresa Joynes. He was raised in Murray before moving to Lacona his 3rd grade year. He was a 2014 graduate at Southeast Warren High School. He worked several jobs as a stocker, handyman,at Country Propane, pipelayer, fencer, asphalt layer, to his final job as a pipe insulator for ETI. Zach was loving and selfless, with a heart of gold. He cared about everybody and would do anything for anybody. He in return was loved and cared about by everyone he met. Zach enjoyed rugby, football, basketball, and beating his brother and mother at video games. Zach liked long walks, playing his favorite songs on his playlist. "God's Plan" was one he played daily. He never judged people and forgave when he needed to. He will be missed by all who knew him. His life mission was to help people in life and death. He had a short time to do it. Zach is survived by his mother, Teresa Easley; father, Steve Easley; brothers, Justin and Austin Barnes; sisters, Amber Blackwood, Destiny and Brandi Fairbanks; a lot of family and his friends that became his brothers and sisters by heart.
