Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Melcher-Dallas. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Melcher-Dallas Volunteer Fire Department or to the Sacred Heart Altar & Rosary Society. Wilma Marie Polich was born August 5, 1933 to William and Pauline Polich in Melcher, Iowa. She was one of five children born to the couple. Wilma attended Melcher High School. Wilma was united in marriage to Jake Hansaker in 1953. The couple was blessed with three children: Mike, Lynn, and Stephen. Wilma was a very loving and devoted mother. She loved traveling with her family and making memories with them at the Iowa State Fair. Wilma had a lot of hobbies and interests. She had a great love for horses. She also loved riding her motorcycle and also drove like a maniac. Wilma was a talented seamstress and made many beautiful dolls. She was an avid reader, a people person, and was known for always being a late, except to a party. Wilma enjoyed make up and perfume. She was a very successful Mary Kay saleswoman. Wilma was always "fixed up" and was known for her strong hugs and lipstick kisses. Those lipstick kisses will be greatly missed by so many. Wilma passed away January 30, 2019. She will be greatly missed by her children: Mike Hansaker, Lynn Hansaker, and Stephen Hansaker; grandchildren: Eric Colwill, Josh (Nicole) Colwill, Megan Scales, and Mark Hansaker; great grandchild, Olivia Maxine Scales; sister, Arlene Wilson; brother, Bill Polich; and in-laws: Doris Hansker, Merilyn Farrell, LeRoy and Carolyn Hansaker, Orbie and Jack Becker. Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Jake, in 2018; and siblings, Rudy Polich and Amelia Jones. Visitation
