William "Bill" Alfred Ryerson

Bill Ryerson, 93, of Bussey, Iowa, passed away on January 8, 2024. A Celebration of Life for both Bill and Alberta Ryerson will be held at the Attica Fire Department, 1980 Hwy G76, Attica, Iowa 50138 on January 27, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting you bring a favorite hot dish or side dish to the Celebration of Life to share with others. If donations are preferred, the family asks to have donations be made to MOTORCYCLE MISSIONS, an organization with a cause important to Bill.

Bill was born on December 10, 1930, to Arthur and Blanche Ryerson. In 1952, Bill met Alberta in Knoxville, Iowa. By September 24, 1954, the two were married. Bill and Alberta went on to have two children, Rick Ryerson and Rhonda Ryerson.

Bill served in the Marines for multiple years, retiring from the military in 1953. Bill worked for many more years and retired from Pella Corporation. He greatly enjoyed spending time on his motorcycle, with Alberta riding in his sidecar. After retirement, Bill spent his time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. No matter where he was or who he was with, Alberta was always by his side. After 69 years of marriage, the two were still inseparable.

Bill was predeceased by his wife, Alberta Ryerson; siblings, Louise (Dave) Kuntz and Howard (Betty) Ryerson; and daughter, Rhonda Ryerson. He is survived by his son, Rick (Teresa) Ryerson; grandchildren: Willy Ryerson, Tyler (Jennifer) Ryerson, Danny (Sara) VandeKraats, and Jessica (Zac) Stough; and several amazing great grandchildren.
