Wendell Leroy Clark

Wendell LeRoy Clark, age 81, of Bussey, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Monroe County Hospital in Albia, Iowa.
Wendell was born on August 11, 1940, at his family’s home in Hamilton, Iowa. He was the 11th of 12 children born to George Elbert and Doris Mae (Lee) Clark.
Wendell served in the United States Army from 1960-1963. He was united in marriage to JoAnn Pottorff on November 2, 1963. They were blessed with two sons, Kevin and Kyle. Wendell and JoAnn enjoyed 58 years of marriage before his passing.
Wendell was employed at Maytag for 31 years. He was a member of the Bussey American Legion and in his younger years enjoyed hunting and fishing. Wendell especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, JoAnn Clark; children, Kevin Clark and Kyle (Jennifer) Clark; six grandchildren, Jacob (Cindy) Clark, Brittany Clark, Casey (Melisa) Clark, Kayla (Joe) Hamilton, Shane (Kylie) Nicholson, and Shawna (Andy) Brown; also thirteen great-grandchildren, Khloe, Errik, Sawyer, Luanna, Aiden, Jace C., Jordyn, Jace N., Cora, Bristol, Colson, Raelynn, and Kinlee.
Wendell’s wishes were to be cremated. No services are planned at this time.
