Wayne “Mic” Vairo Jr. was born September 15, 1953, to Wayne and Marian (Wright) Vairo in Iowa City, Iowa. Mic grew up in Williamson and attended Chariton High School.
Mic met Renata Williams in his younger years. They reconnected later in life and were united in marriage on June 26, 2000. Mic and Renata enjoyed the outdoors, especially mushroom hunting and searching for arrowheads together. Mic also loved pheasant hunting and fishing for trout.
Mic was adventurous and was an active dad and grandpa. He looked forward to spending time outside with the kids and planning activities and crafts for them to do together. He was a thoughtful, fun, and goofy guy who would do anything to make his family smile.
His selfless nature will be missed by his children: Danielle (Kris) Simmons, Ericka (Jody) Rhone, Matthew (Jennifer) Harlow, and Jason Vairo; grandchildren: Jessamynn Simmons, Alora Simmons, Daryen Rhone, Blayden Rhone, Miranda Harlow, Dillon Harlow, Kaylynn Harlow, Addison Harlow, Brianna Vairo, Samuel Vairo, Jessie Vairo, and Dazzlen Vairo; siblings: Orval “Dean” Powers, Christine Vairo, Joe (Trudy) Cady, David Goben, Daniel Goben, Tracy (Alex) Simon, Mike Kautz, Mark Goben, Lynnette (Jason) Jensen, Michelle Vairo, and Matt Tilton; best friend, Pat Thomas; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Mic was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne Vairo Sr & Marian Goben; and his life-long love and wife, Renata (Williams) Vairo.
