Wayde Douglas Nolte

Wayde Douglas Nolte, 40, of Indianola, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023. Services will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home at 203 W Center St. in Melcher-Dallas. Interment will follow the service at St. Paul Cemetery.

Family will receive friends on Friday evening from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in care of Wayde’s family for Brayden’s college fund.

Wayde was born to Doug and Marylou (Hern) Nolte on June 4, 1983, in Des Moines, Iowa. He grew up alongside his siblings, Dawn and Charles. He attended Melcher-Dallas Schools, graduating with the class of 2002. He then went straight into working as a welder and machinist for the family business, Nolte Machine Shop, in Lacona, Iowa.

Wayde and Brandy were blessed with a son, Brayden. Wayde and Brayden had a lot in common. They both loved comic books and enjoyed antiquing together. One of their favorite places to eat was Little Caesars. Wayde also enjoyed Pat’s cheese steaks.

Wayde had a wonderful sense of humor and thoroughly enjoyed pranking others. He held his friends dear to his heart, and they became like family to him. He enjoyed many sports, especially football and baseball. He was a music lover, Metallica, Breaking Benjamin, and Linkin Park being some of his favorite groups. He collected the tickets from all the concerts he had attended.

Along with his love for music, he was a movie buff, whether it be watching movies at home or going to the theatre. Star Wars and Mallrats were a couple favorites of Wayde.

Wayde loved going on road trips and enjoyed driving. New York City was one of his favorite places to travel to and anywhere he could be near the ocean.

Wayde will be deeply missed by his parents, Doug and Marylou; son, Brayden Nolte; siblings, Dawn (John) Karr and Charles Nolte; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
