A memorial visitation for Wanda D. Reed, 79, of Chariton, will be held Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. Memorials may be made in care of her family.
Wanda was born in Minnesota to Harry and Glendoris (Shelton) Tanner on June 10, 1944. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1963 and was married on July 12th of 1963. They were blessed with three children: Zina, Harry, and Tina. They made their home in Chariton and ran the Reed Auction Service. Wanda enjoyed the weekly sales and loved seeing all of the people, it was as much a social time as it was a business to Wanda. She loved her family and looked forward to family get togethers.
Wanda passed away April 16, 2024 at the Lucas County Health Center in Chariton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Teddie Reed in 2022; and her sister, Judy Porter.
She will be greatly missed by her children: Zina (James) Brit, Harry Reed, and Tina Reed; along with many grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren; along with siblings: Kevin Tanner and Raelynn Luehring; and many relatives and friends.
