Vicky Linn (Kemp) Chaney

Vicky Linn (Kemp) Chaney, age 64, of Knoxville, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines.
Vicky was born on July 27, 1956 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She is the daughter of Gerald and Elsie (Breed) Kemp. Vicky lived in Attica for a short time and was raised in Knoxville, Iowa and graduated from Knoxville High School, Class of 1974.
Vicky worked for Servomation at 3M for several years and was then an owner/operator of concession stands. She later obtained her CNA license and worked in home health care. Vicky enjoyed being outdoors and was passionate about fishing and her sailboat.
Those left to cherish Vicky’s memory include her son, Larry Briggs; mother, Elsie Kemp; sisters, Valarie Evans and Donna McBurney; brother, Bruce Kemp; stepsister, Diane Dickey; two granddaughters, Nevaeh and Kyleigh; one aunt, Donna Belew; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Vicky is preceded in death by her father, Gerald Kemp and one aunt Ruth Walsh.
Vicky’s wishes were to be cremated. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at the Winfield Funeral Home in Knoxville from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Vicky’s family will be present from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. to greet friends and relatives.
Memorials may be given in Vicky’s memory to the Marion County Humane Society.
The Winfield Funeral Home in Knoxville is assisting Vicky’s family with services.
