Tyler was welcomed home by sisters: Kimberly, Karen, and Kellie. At the age of four, Tyler's parents adopted his two-year-old sister, Stefanie. Tyler began his school years in Chariton and was involved in sports and school plays. He enjoyed his time in Patch Club at Grace Baptist Church. Tyler attended Iowa State University 2001 through 2005, studying business. After leaving Iowa State, he worked various jobs in Iowa before moving to California to start a new chapter in his life. In 2010, after meeting new friends and working different jobs, he joined Genentech Biotechnology Company as an audiovisual specialist.
