Trelawney Marie Birkenkamp

Trelawney Marie Birkenkamp, 54, of Chariton passed away on November 19, 2014 at Circle of Life Hospice/Legacy Lodge. A Sharing of Memories Service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. Family will receive friends on Saturday prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 p.m. Trelawney Marie Birkenkamp (O'Leary) was born on September 5, 1960 in Knoxville, Iowa to Thomas and Sharon O'Leary. She graduated from Sunnyslope High School in Arizona in 1978. Trelawney was married to Mike Heppler. Of this union, two sons were born: David and James Heppler. She later married Randy Birkenkamp. The couple spent thirty years together and had eight children between the two of them. She was very supportive of her children and they all knew that she was their biggest fan. Trelawney was a hard worker. She worked as a dietary aide at Chariton Nursing and Rehab Center. She also worked as a cashier at Amaco and Coastal and as a cashier and assistant manager at Casey's. Trelawney loved to camp and fish, although she didn't like to touch worms or the fish she caught. She enjoyed football so much she could have been a coach. She enjoyed science fiction, especially Star Trek Voyager. She liked to play games on her phone and liked hard candy. She was a unique, honest, respectful and strong-willed woman with a great big heart. Trelawney put everyone else before herself. She loved time with family, especially time spent with her grandson, Carter. Trelawney made Christmas special for her family by hosting a traditional farm Christmas every year. Trelawney was preceded in death by her brother, Brian O'Leary; father, Thomas O'Leary; stepdad, Ernie Bebee; and grandparents, Lowell and Mary Dachenbach. She will be greatly missed by her mother, Sharon Bebee; husband, Randy Russell Birkenkamp; children: David Michael (Roberta) Heppler, James Scott Heppler, Jeremy James Birkenkamp, Randi Rachelle (Todd Morrison) Birkenkamp and Josie J (Brentt Jones) Birkenkamp; stepdaughters: Misty Marie Birkenkamp, April Ina (Zach) Wamsley and Sasha Renee (James) Lewis; grandchildren: Travis, Kaylee, Colton, Carter, Seth, Jakob, Caden, Clay, Cody, Cael, Brooklyn, Tito and Jade; and siblings: Scott O'Leary and Dawn Fortier.
