Tommy Michael Evans

Thomas “Tommy” Michael Evans, age 35 of Bussey, Iowa passed away Thursday, August 6, 2020 in Bussey.

Tommy was born on January 8, 1985 in Pella, Iowa, the son of Thomas and Katherine (Comstock) Evans. He attended Twin Cedars High School and graduated with the class of 2003.

Tommy was united in marriage to Heidi Weldon on July 7, 2007. To this union one daughter was born, Haley. They later divorced.

Tommy worked as a millwright for 10 years with his father at Evans Fabrication & Repair. He later drove a waste disposal truck for LDI (Local Disposal Inc) in New Sharon and was currently a truck driver for Dugger Construction.

Tommy’s hobbies included art and music, rock hunting, fishing and hunting, being a River Rat, and playing with his nieces and nephews.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Haley Evans of Knoxville and Saphira Evans of rural Bussey; father, Thomas Evans and his wife Jeanette of rural Oskaloosa; sister, Candy Evans of rural Bussey; four nieces and nephews, Shyanne, Matthew, Saphira and Mason; also many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Tommy is preceded in death by his mother, Katherine “Kathy” Evans; brother, Jerry Joe Evans; his grandparents; also 5 uncles and 7 cousins.
