Tim was born in Chariton, Iowa on July 18, 1968, to Ralph and Mardella (Smith) Shore. He attended Perry High School before returning home to Chariton where he graduated in 1987. He worked for Lucas County as an equipment operator for secondary roads. Tim lived a great deal of his life in the service of others. He joined the United States Army as junior in high school, serving in the Iowa National Guard, retiring as a Seargent. Tim also served as the assistant fire chief for the Williamson Fire Department. He dedicated countless hours to the betterment of the department and the City of Williamson. Tim’s community involvement did not end with the fire department. He also served in the Chariton Masonic Lodge as a Master Mason, and he was a member of the Melcher-Dallas American Legion.
Tim had many other hobbies outside of his numerous civic duties. He loved to get outside whenever he could. Whether it was hunting or fishing, Tim enjoyed being surrounded by nature. When he was not outside, he enjoyed cheering on his beloved St. Louis Cardinals. Tim also worked as a Jet Dryer for the Iowa Speedway Fire and Safety Team. He enjoyed traveling the country working at many different racetracks.
While Tim served his community and his country with immense pride, his true joy and passion was his family. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He cherished his family who will miss him deeply.
Left to cherish Tim’s memory are his wife, Sheri; children: Trinity (Nathan) Brown, Tyler (Maddy) Shore, and Tressa (Ethan) Swarthout; grandchildren: Blaine Brown, Bristol Brown, Weston Shore, Sutton Shore, and Asheton Shore; his siblings: Glenda Nicolaisen, Tina Wollard, Nancy Karl, and Rick Shore; and numerous nieces and nephews. Tim had a special bond with his nephew, Gary Shutt.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Shore, and Mardella Smith-Grey-Shore-Broughton; and his sister, Sherry Shutt.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Tim’s family.
