Thomas Lee Oliver

Thomas Oliver passed away November 29, 2022, at the age of 67 years.  Thomas was born February 28, 1955, to Walter and Dorothy Oliver, the youngest of six children. The Oliver family lived in Des Moines, and near Palmyra and Norwood before moving to the farm near Oakley in 1959. He has lived in Glenwood, Iowa for 60 years. Although he had profound cognitive issues, he always enjoyed listening to classical music and always looked forward to a tray of brownies from his mother, a tradition that was carried on by other family members.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Charlotte LeFleur and Linda Wild; brothers, Jerry and Bill; grandparents, aunts, and uncles.

He is survived by his brother, Dennis (Laura) Oliver, and their children: Anne, Matt, Phil, and Megan; sister-in-law, Carol Oliver, and her children, John and Joseph; brother-in-law, Ed Wild and his children, Wendy and Ed, and many relatives. 

A graveside service will be held at the Nisewender Cemetery near the family farm at a later date, next to his parents and siblings.
