Teddie Reed

A Celebration of Life gathering for Teddie Reed, 84, of Chariton will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2022, from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. Memorials may be made in care of Teddie's family.

Teddie Ray Reed was born on January 11, 1938, in Van Buren, Arkansas to Leonard and Willie (Tenney) Reed. During his early years, he moved all over. He eventually made his way to Chariton when his sister moved here.

Teddie met Wanda Tanner and the two were married on July 12, 1963. To this union, three children were born: Zina, Harry, and Tina. Teddie and Wanda remained in Chariton where they raised their family.

Teddie was a good ole boy. He enjoyed going to auctions, buying and then selling prized “junk” he found.

Teddie had a heart attack in 1992. It may have slowed him down a little bit, but not much. He continued his junk shopping and selling.

Teddie is survived by his wife, Wanda; children: Zina (James) Brit, Harry Reed, and Tina Reed; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; sisters: Ann, Patsy, and Donna; along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents: Leonard and Willie Reed; and siblings: Roy, Leo, Billy, Lucille, and Bobbi.
