Stuart Kaer, age 57, of Knoxville, Iowa, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2020 at EveryStep Kavanaugh House in Des Moines.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at the Winfield Funeral Home in Knoxville. A visitation with Stuart’s family present will begin at 9:00 A.M. until the start of services. Burial will follow at Corydon Cemetery in Corydon.
Stuart Kaer was born on May 9, 1962 in Baldwin, New York, the son of Jeannette (Bailey) Kaer. He attended Baldwin High School. Stuart worked as a custodian in Freeport, New York for 30 years. Stuart and his companion, Melanie (Parham) Clowser lived together in New York for five years, before moving to Knoxville in 2016. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren.
Stuart is survived by his companion, Melanie Clowser of Knoxville; children, Julie Kaer and Joseph Kaer, both of New York, Megan Clowser, Jayde Vancenbrock, and Lesley Clowser, all of Knoxville; five grandchildren, Brantley, Heartlyn, Adilyn, Taelyn, and Kayden; two sisters, Cathy and Jean; two brothers, Kevin and Jimmy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Stuart is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
