Steven Ray Vande Kamp, age 56, of Knoxville, Iowa, formerly of Pella, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
Visitation for Steve will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at the Winfield Funeral Home in Knoxville from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. with Steve’s family present to greet friends and relatives. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Winfield Funeral Home on Saturday at 11:00 A.M.
Steve was born on June 16, 1966, in Pella, Iowa, the son of Robert “Bob” and Norma Vande Kamp. Steve grew up in Pella and attended Pella High School. Following high school, Steve was employed at Vermeer Mfg. and then worked for his dad. He was later employed at Weiler in Knoxville for 19 years.
Steve was united in marriage to Tina Butler on August 23, 2003, at Fifield Park in Marion County, Iowa. They were blessed with one son, Landen, and enjoyed 18 years of marriage before his passing.
Steve enjoyed detailing cars, video games, and was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Steve was deeply loved by his family and will be missed by them all.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Tina Vande Kamp; sons, Andrew and Landen Vande Kamp; parents, Bob and Norma Vande Kamp; brother, Lonnie (Joan) Vande Kamp; sister, Lorrie (Frank) Zemanek; and brother, Ryan (Leanne) Vande Kamp; two granddaughters, Henslee and Letty Vande Kamp; also several nieces and nephews.
Steve is preceded in death by his grandparents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Steve’s family and will be decided on a later date.
