Steven Edward Six

Steven Edward Six, age 66, formerly of Knoxville, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at MercyOne Emergency Room in Des Moines, Iowa.

Steve was born on October 26, 1955, in Knoxville, Iowa, the son of Kenneth and Wilma Six. Steve attended special needs schools in Knoxville and Albia, before going to Glenwood State Hospital for mentally challenged children at the age of 15. Steve was fortunate to move to Christian Opportunity Center in Indianola, Iowa in 2015.

Steve loved trains, watching cartoons, and especially enjoyed the 3 Stooges on DVD. Steve enjoyed Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and drinking coffee. Steve was extremely fond of his extended family at C.O.C. (especially the ladies). He was loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed.

Those left to cherish Steve’s memory include his siblings, Kenneth (Denise) Six of Knoxville, Ron Six of Knoxville, Gary Six of Knoxville, and Joleen (Tony) Miller of Knoxville. Steve is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and his extended family at Christian Opportunity Center of Indianola.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Wilma Six; and his sister-in-law, Cheryl Six.
