Steven L. Harvey

Steven Harvey, 61, of Chariton, Iowa passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023. There will be a Celebration of Life on Thursday, April 13, 2023, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton.

Steven Leroy Harvey was born on October 29, 1961, to Glen and Penelope (Romine) Harvey. He was raised in Montana where he grew up having horses and enjoying the outdoors.

Steven served in the Army National Guard, then lived in Des Moines and Lineville for a bit before he came to Chariton. Steven met Carlena Hubbard while he was working, and the couple married on June 6, 2013. He did some roofing contract jobs with the Amish.

Everything about Steven was special. He loved being a practical joker, enjoyed reading, and listened to music every chance he got.

Steven will be dearly missed by his dad, Glen and stepmother, Patti; wife of 10 years, Corlena; siblings: Todd Harvey (Katie), Wayne Harvey, Krista O’Toole, and Michael Harvey; and many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, as well as his pets.

Preceding him in death was his mom, Penelope.
