Russell Joshua Crow was born to Brent Crow and Renada Crow on March 11, 1981. Growing up he went by Joshua, but later wanted to be called Russ, but if you ask his Mom, he will always be Josh.

At a young age he was taught to love baseball and fishing from his Grandpa Darwin. Many hours were spent alongside his brother, Zach, playing in the backyard on their very own baseball field. It was fun watching sports as the boys grew up playing with a good group of guys, especially enjoying watching their high school baseball, who went to state several years in a row.

Russ graduated high school from Southeast Warren in 1999. The years were rough for Russ right after high school, but he turned his life around. He was a welder with the Baker Group, and a member of the Local Union 33. He was going through the apprenticeship program, eager to start a new chapter, only weeks away from completion.

Russ was a tough loving uncle to his nieces and nephews, always joking and scaring them, but as they grew older, they enjoyed dishing it right back to him. He will forever be remembered by his dry sense of humor. He enjoyed cooking if it was hot and spicy with extra jalapenos. Russ was a diehard Chicago Bears fan. To his family he was stubborn, ornery, a carebear, full of surprise, and pitbull loving brother.

He was preceded in death by grandparents: Jewell and Darwin Haltom; uncle, Nick Haltom; grandpa, Kenneth Crow; and grandpa, Greg Thomas.

He will be greatly missed by his parents: Renada Crow and Brent Crow; grandma, Eileen Thomas; siblings: Zach Crow, Caitlin Crow, and Hannah Perkins; nieces and nephews: Caden, Blaine, Shaeli, Briar, Riley, and a niece on the way; his dogs: Domino, Duke, and Daisy; along with many relatives and friends.
