Ronald Glenn Hall, age 78, of Knoxville, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at his home.
Ronald Hall was born on December 20, 1942 in Knoxville, Iowa, the son of Glenn and Alberta (Kendrick) Hall. Ron attended Gosport Country School and graduated from Knoxville High School, Class of 1962. Following high school, he joined the Iowa National Guard and worked as a mechanic. He proudly served his country for 23 years.
Ron was united in marriage to Angeline Van Ryswyk on March 9, 1968 at the Columbia Methodist Church. They were blessed with three children, Julie, Jeffrey, and Jennifer. Ron and Angie enjoyed 53 years of marriage before his passing.
Ron was employed at Pro Nuco for 30 years and worked as a grain miller. He also worked in security at the Knoxville Raceway and as an Auxiliary Officer for the Knoxville Police Department. Ron was an avid bowler and enjoyed spending time with family and “coffee time” with frends.
Those left to cherish Ron’s memory include his wife, Angie Hall; children, Julie Beck (Tom) of Fruitland, FL, Jeffrey Hall (Jennifer) of Lusby, MD, and Jennifer Hall of Knoxville; seven grandchildren, Miranda Sterling, Tommy, Christopher, and Hannah Beck, Persephone Hall, and Presley and Jack Hall; two great-grandchildren, Sadie and Carly; also two sisters, Beverly Sanderson of Knoxville and Becky Smith of Des Moines.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Alberta Hall; also one brother, Richard Hall.
Ron’s wishes were to be cremated. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 10, 2021 at Winfield Funeral Home in Knoxville from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. with family present to greet friends and relatives. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial services with military honors will follow at Gosport Cemetery.
Memorials may be given in his memory to Pleasantville American Legion.
