Roger Dwayne Sanderson

Roger Dwayne Sanderson of Chariton, Iowa passed away on October 20, 2021, at the age of 53. No services are planned at this time.

Roger Sanderson was born on February 22, 1968, to Franklin Sanderson and Lorretta (Jagerson) Sanderson in Maquoketa, Iowa. He was the youngest of six children. He grew up in Maquoketa and was a 1987 graduate of the Maquoketa High School.

Roger married Linda Short in 1992 and they were blessed with two children: Stephanie and Timothy (TJ). The two later divorced.

Roger enjoyed traveling around to different bars playing his guitar. He did some construction and for the last 10 years, he did factory work.

Roger will be greatly missed by his daughter, Stephanie (Mike Atkinson) Sanderson; grandchildren: Alainah, Creedon, Aiden, and Izzy; brothers, Robbie Sanderson and Larry Sanderson; and sister, Linda Bodkin.

He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy (TJ) Sanderson; and siblings, Victoria Sanderson and David Sanderson.
