Robert "Bob" Devern Harding, 80, of Swan, IA, passed away on May 3, 2024. He was born on April 18, 1944. Per Bob's wishes, no services are planned.

Bob was a man of many interests and hobbies. He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, and cruising Swan in his golf cart with his furbabies, Tillie and Calijo. His dedication to these pastimes brought him joy and relaxation throughout his retirement years.

Bob will be remembered for his perseverance and hard work, as exemplified by the quote, "Perseverance is the hard work you do after you get tired of doing the hard work you already did." —Newt Gingrich. He instilled the value of hard work in his children.

He is survived by his spouse, Sherry Harding, his children Rod Harding, Robert (Stacy) Harding, and Lorie (Oran) Teut, along with his grandchildren Taylor Harding, Floyd Jones, Caitlin (Kory) Dohlman, and Dalton (Hannah) Scharper, and great-grandchildren Kynsli, Kohler, and Georgia, and his stepchildren Jamie (Ty) Eitel and Jason (Jami) Cole, and step grandchildren Cole, Cash, Austin, Ali, and Jaron, and step great grandchild Bentley.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Harding, mother, Adrianna (Ade) Scholtus Harding, and brothers Harold Harding and Kenneth Harding.

Bob's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones.
