The service may be viewed or on our webpage: www.pierschbacherfuneralhome.com Robert Burl Lovell was born November 22, 1955 in Des Moines, Iowa to Glen and Charlotte Kading Lovell. He grew up north of Melcher-Dallas on the family farm until moving into town with his seven siblings. Rob graduated Melcher High School in 1974. He was united in marriage to Faye Osborn on December 18, 1976. Rob had worked as a roofer after high school and also for Vermeer, Swift Meat Packing, until moving to Milan in 1987 where he worked for Phillips Enterprises a supplier of medical equipment. Rob enjoyed working on cars since he was a kid, and also enjoyed carpentry. He was known for having a big heart and helping anyone out that he could, and working on cars and helping fix something at someone's home were two big ways of doing that. He liked to watch the New Orleans Saints, NASCAR, watching old westerns, and everyone knew he liked a good cream soda. The biggest joy in his life was his family. He loved coaching his kids baseball and softball teams and when the grandchildren came along, life was definitely all about them. He loved to watch their sports and appeared to be gruff, but loved to baby his grandchildren when no one else was around. Rob is survived by his wife of 43 years, Faye Lovell; his children: Bobbi (Jeremy) Rifley, Melissa (William) Taylor, Brad (Brandy) Lovell, and Andy (Carrie) Heeb; grandchildren: Logan, Colin, Alexis, Austin, Courtney, Kyla, Kursten, Ryder, Adi, Colton, and Jackson; a great granddaughter, Kendallynne; along with siblings: David (Shirley) Lovell, Velma (Danny) Luscri, Linda (Mitch) Enfield, and Jerry (Jackie) Lovell; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Preceding Rob in death were his parents: Glen and Charlotte; and siblings: Charles Lovell, Donna (Rodney) Jones, and Barb (Norm) Payton.
