Ricky James Harmon

Ricky James Harmon, age 48, recently Bondurant and formerly of Pella, Iowa passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at the Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
A celebration of Ricky’s life will be held on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. at the family farm.
Ricky was born on November 14, 1972, in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Rodney James and Debra Ruth (Jett) Harmon. He attended and graduated from Sullivan High school in Sullivan, Missouri.
After high school Rick began his truck driving career. He was a third-generation truck driver. Rick also enjoyed fishing, camping, boating, coffee with plenty of creamer and especially his dog Shebah. Ricky also shared a special closeness with his sister.
Rick was united in marriage to Darla Jean Bremmer. They were blessed with four children, Josh, James, Darrick, and Kortny. They later divorced. On the day of Ricky’s passing, he shared specially vows with Tammy Lynn Oliver.
Rick is survived by his wife Tammy Oliver; four children, Josh McLaughlan, James Harmon, Darrick Harmon (Erica Shewry), and Kortny Harmon; four stepchildren, London Friedmeyer (Josh), Ashton Drake, Ashleigh Drake, and Kane Thornton; and one granddaughter Yuki and a grandson Oliver. Rick is also survived by his sister Diana Stirts (Travis).
He is preceded in death by his grandparents; his parents Rodney and Debra; and his granddaughter Elena.
A memorial may be given in Rick’s memory to his family. The Winfield Funeral Home in Knoxville is assisting Rick’s family with services.
