Raymon James Wilson, age 65, of Albia, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, at the Monroe County Hospital in Albia. Ray was born on September 19, 1944, in Red Oak, Iowa to Edwin and Louise (Hughes) Wilson. Ray was a graduate of Albia High School and received his degree in auto mechanics and hotel and restaurant management. Ray worked hard all his life. He was a mechanic, managed restaurants, drove truck, and was very talented in construction. Ray is survived by his wife, Kathy Wilson of Albia; eight children, John Wilson of Marshall, MN, Audrey and Rob Alt of Cedar Rapids, Jodi Wiklund of Des Moines, Paul and Amy Carter of Cedar Rapids, Joe Wilson of Missouri, Ray Wilson of Albia, Jim Wilson and Cyndi Kendall of Albia, and George and Kim Wilson of Albia; and 14 grandchildren. Ray is also survived by one brother, Dale Penry of North Bend, WA; and one sister, Debra Bakalar of Albia. Ray is preceded in death by his parents and one sister. RayÂ?s wishes were cremation with no services planned at this time. In lieu of flowers a memorial and condolences may be sent to the family.
