Randy Wayne Little

Randy Wayne Little, 71, passed away on February 3, 2024, at his home in Lacona, Iowa. Services will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lacona Christian Church, with a visitation prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be made in Randy's name to the American Diabetes Association at https://diabetes.org/ways-to-contribute.

Randy was born on November 8, 1952, in Winterset, Iowa to Harold and Lenore (Johnson) Little. He spent much of his career working for different retail organizations, such as Target and Costco, from which he retired in 2020. Randy loved going to auctions and antiquing. He could never pass up a good find. If he saw something unique, even if it were on the side of the road being thrown away, he would pick it up and give it new life.

Randy was not a man of many words, but he always made his presence known. His infectious laugh and kind spirit could always light up a room. He had an enthusiastic sense of humor and always had a good joke. Randy was also known to travel countless miles in search of the perfect tenderloin. Anyone who knew Randy will never forget the sound of his “train whistle.”

Randy is survived by his partner, Patti Hill; children, Nathan (Carmecely) Little, Tim (Trish) Little, and Zach Little; granddaughters, Amaya and Parker; sister, Becky (Tony) Fees; brother, Dennis Little; stepdaughter-in-law, Susan Atkinson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded by his parents; wife, Jeannie Little; stepson, Jason Atkinson; and a sister-in-law, Brenda Little.
