Patricia “Pat” Tille, age 69, of Knoxville, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at the Knoxville Hospital and Clinics.
Pat was born on March 7, 1951 in Albia, Iowa to Floyd and Mildred Goemaat, Sr. She attended school in Pleasantville and graduated with the class of 1969.
Pat was united in marriage to Alfred Tille on December 4, 1970 at the First Christian Church in Knoxville. They were blessed with three children, Jennifer, Jason and Jamie. Pat and Alfred enjoyed 49 years of marriage before her passing.
Pat loved being a homemaker and raising her children. She was later employed for the Knoxville School District and provided transportation for special needs children.
Pat was a longtime member of the Solid Rock Church in Monroe. She enjoyed sewing and attending the various activities/sports of her grandchildren. Family was the most important thing to her and she will be missed by them all.
Visitation for Pat will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2020 from 1:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., with Pat’s family present to greet friends and relatives from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the Winfield Funeral Home in Knoxville. A private funeral service will be held on Monday, July 20, 2020 at 10:30 A.M. at the Winfield Funeral Home in Knoxville. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Knoxville.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Floyd Goemaat, Jr. and Douglas Goemaat.
Those left to cherish Pat’s memory include her husband Alfred Tille of Knoxville; children, Jennifer Turner (Mark) of Knoxville, Jason Tille of Knoxville, and Jamie Tille (Betsy) of Knoxville; eight grandchildren, Amber Schenck (Nick), Austin Kicksey, Autumnn Turner, Abigail Turner, Kaylee Tille, Briana Tille, Jacob Tille, and Cheyenne Tille; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Judy Wolfe (David) and Jerri Hall; several nieces and nephews; many close friends and her church family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Pat’s memory to Solid Rock Church in Monroe.
