Pamela Jane Bennett, age 71, of Harvey, Iowa, passed away at her home on Sunday, August 15, 2021, surrounded by her family
Pam was born on February 9, 1950 in Knoxville, Iowa, the daughter of Les and Ramona Bennett. She was united in marriage to Dennis Starmer on May 12, 1967, they were blessed with one son, Scott. Later, Pam was blessed with another son, Joseph Ball who passed away in 2009.
Pam obtained her degree as a Registered Nurse and was employed at the V.A. Medical Center, nursing homes, hospice and home health. She was passionate about her nursing. Pam had a huge heart and spent many hours volunteering for numerous causes, including Lake View Camp, Bibles for Missions, her local Church and community.
She loved being around her family and will be missed by them all.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Marysville Cemetery in Marysville, Iowa. Following burial, a luncheon will be held at her home at 909 West St. in Harvey, Iowa, 50119.
Left to honor Pam’s memory is her son, Scott (Bobbie) Starmer of Harvey; grandchildren, Haley and Chloe Starmer of Harvey, Devin (Paola) Starmer of Harvey, Mercedes (Aaron) Hackett of Bussey, and Gracie Ball (Kristin) of Ankeny; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Bennett of Harvey and Darrell (Debbie) Bennett of Knoxville; sister, Diane Bennett of Pella; best friend and companion, Gene Hegwood of Pershing; also many nieces and nephews.
Pam is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Starmer; son, Jo e Ball; and parents, Les and Ramona Bennett.
Memorials may be given in Pam’ memory to Lake View Camp, 1797 Marion County Hwy T17, Tracy, Iowa, 50256.
