A private family service will be held on Wednesday with burial following at the Pleasantville Cemetery. Miranda Arlene Stierwalt was born April 9, 1993 in Knoxville, Iowa to Wes and Erica Stierwalt. She grew up in Melcher-Dallas, the Quad-Cities, and Pleasantville areas. She attended school at Pleasantville with the class of 2011. Miranda and Kyle Williams were blessed with a son, Brayden Matthew Stierwalt; who has always been a great joy and treasure to Miranda. Miranda worked in the medical billing department at several places and was currently employed at Early Out Services in Des Moines. Those who knew and loved her often called her Randy-roo, Shorty, Miranda Bell, Randy, Randall, or Aunt Rana. She always had an infectious smile and laugh, she was compassionate, loved to sing, loved spending time with family and friends, and loved animals, especially her cat, Ethel. Miranda had been described as having a gypsy soul. She also enjoyed shopping and going to garage sales looking for treasures too good to pass up. She also loved being outdoors and enjoyed her plants. When she was younger, she and her siblings loved to go sledding in the winter and the slip-n-slide in the summer with Grandpa and Grandma Stierwalt, and always enjoyed the tradition of making popcorn balls at Grandma Arlene's for Halloween. Of course Brayden had the biggest part of her heart. They enjoyed going up to the track, movie nights, playing board games. Miranda loved making a house into a home for her and B. She was great at decorating and making any place feel like home. Miranda died on July 15, 2020 in Des Moines at the age of 27 years. She will be greatly missed by her son, Brayden Matthew Stierwalt; Brayden's father, Kyle Williams; her mother, Erica Davis; her father, Wes (Barb) Stierwalt; siblings: Austin Stierwalt, Ethan (Ayla) Stierwalt, Katilin (Max) Nimrick, Addyson Hougas; step siblings, Tesla Peden and Chris Peden; bonus sisters, Jessica (Steven) Wright and Elizabeth Sawvell; grandparents, Roger & Mary Stierwalt and Tom & Wilma Thiessen; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Preceding her in death were, a niece, Aerilynn Stierwalt; grandparents, Charles and Arlene Haines; aunt, Marcy Stierwalt; and great grandparents, Ronald and Lucille Stierwalt and Raymond and Evelene Bingham.
