Services for Michael Steven Greenlee, 54, of Humeston, Iowa will be held on Saturday, August
28, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at the Humeston Christian United Methodist Church in Humeston, Iowa.
Memorials may be made in care of the family. Interment will take place at the Lewisburg
Cemetery.

Michael Steven Greenlee was born April 25, 1967, in the Decatur County Hospital in Leon, Iowa
to Donald Pearl and Joyce Ann (Tolly) Greenlee. He was welcomed into this world by his brother
Donald Eugene (Gene) and his sister Debra Lynn. Mike passed away on August 24, 2021, at his
home near Humeston, Iowa with his family by his side.
Mike started school at Mormon Trail Community School where he graduated with the class of
1985. He enjoyed all sports; playing football, basketball, and baseball. After graduation, he attended Wayne State in Wayne, Nebraska on a baseball scholarship.
Mike was united in marriage to Margaret Ann Ragusi on April 22, 1989, at his parents’ home
south of Humeston. The young couple made their home in Humeston. To this union, the couple
was blessed with three boys: Nicholas Steven, Shawn Michael, and Jacob Donald. Mike always enjoyed working with his dad putting in crops and harvesting.
Mike worked at Crestline in Leon until the company closed. He then attended Southwestern
Community College in Creston where he received his Associates Degree in Electronics. Upon his
graduation at SWCC, he worked at Tenneco in Seward, Nebraska until 2012. At that time, he
suffered a stroke that left him unable to continue working. He and his family moved back to his
hometown of Humeston to be closer to family.
Mike is survived by his mother, Joyce Greenlee of Green Valley, Arizona; his wife of 32 years,
Margaret; children: Nick Greenlee, Shawn Greenlee, and Jacob Greenlee; grandchildren,
Benjamen and Josiah of Longmont, Colorado; brother, Gene of Fayetteville, Illinois; sister, Debbie
(Shawn) Phelps of Derby, Iowa; Margaret’s family; and many other wonderful relatives and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, TP and Ruth Greenlee and Bob and Ivy Tolly; and his dad, Donald P. Greenlee.
