Michael Glenn Baker

Michael Glenn Baker, 78, of Lacona, Iowa passed away on October 24, 2023. Services will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Lacona with a visitation prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Mike was born on January 19, 1945, in Lacona, Iowa. He grew up in Lacona with his parents, Bob and Eloise Bauer and siblings: Viona, Anthony, and Bobbie. He graduated from Southeast Warren High School in 1963.

At the age of 18, Mike was in a terrible car accident that left him in a coma for six months. He had to learn to walk and do everything all over.

Mike was blessed with a son, Tim. He lived most of his life in Lacona, but most recently lived in Chariton.

Mike is survived by his son, Tim (Sandy) Stroud, granddaughter, Paige Stroud; and brother, Anthony Bauer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eloise and Bob; sister, Viona Schaeffer; and brother, Bobbie Bauer.
