Mary Beth (Earney) Bakerink, age 84, of Columbia, Missouri, and formerly of Albia, Iowa went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 29, 2006, at the Columbia Health Care Center in Columbia, Missouri. Mary was born August 1, 1922 in Mystic, Iowa to Christopher ?Kit? and Ruby (McCartney) Frost. They precede her in death. Mary married Clarence R. Earney on July 25, 1940 in Albia, Iowa. Clarence died on December 19, 1966. Mary later married Eugene Bakerink. Eugene died on October 28, 2000. Mary was a homemaker and worked part-time for National Byproducts for several years. Mary was a active member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Albia, and the Mystic Flower Club, until the time of her illness. Mary is survived by her children; Clarence Earney of Columbia, Missouri, Michael Earney (Mary) of Johnson City, Texas, Larry Earney of Hudson, Iowa, and Judy Strahl (Jerry) of Columbia, Missouri; 7 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Two brothers, James Foster of Copperas Cove, Texas, Raymond Frost of New Mexico, also survive Mary. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Christopher and Ruby; her husbands, Clarence Earney and Eugene Bakerink; one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Earney. Mary is also preceded by her two bothers, Robert and Lawrence Frost; one sister, Mildred Vonevich; one sister-in-law, Peg Frost; and a very sweet daughter-in-law Carolyn (Jones) Earney. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 3, 2006, at the Winfield Funeral Home in Albia. Burial will follow services at the Oak View Cemetery in Albia. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8:00 P.M., with the family present, Monday, October 2, 2006, at the Winfield Funeral Home in Albia. Memorials may be directed to the family.
