Mary A. Flesher

Services for Mary Flesher, 86, of Melcher-Dallas, Iowa will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the Dallas Christian Church. Interment will be at the Dallas Cemetery in Dallas, Iowa. There will be a luncheon following interment at the Melcher-Dallas Community Center. Memorials may be made to the Dallas Christian Church.

Family will greet friends on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Melcher-Dallas, Iowa.

Mary Ann (Maxwell) Flesher was born on May 22, 1935, to John and Gertrude (George) Maxwell. She was married to Darrell Lee Flesher, Sr. in Winterset on November 19, 1956.

Mary was a homemaker and a caregiver. She was always thinking of others before herself and most of all, she adored her family and her pet dog, Daisy. Her children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren were very special to her.

She enjoyed doing things with her large family like playing softball, fishing, cooking, gardening, and babysitting. She also loved her Dallas Christian Church family where she attended for many years.

Mary passed away January 8, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Darrell, and all her siblings: Larry Maxwell, Helen Young, Millie Ray, Dick Maxwell, Lonnie Maxwell, Freddie Maxwell; and son-in-law, Sam Bingham.

Mary is survived by her children: Sheryl Bingham, Karan (Ken) Willoughby, Sandy (Tim) Ward, Darla (Jerry) Kennedy, Darrell (Utonda) Flesher, Jr., Marcia (Mike) Graves, Billy Flesher, and Jimmy (Ann) Flesher; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
