Marjorie Selby

Memorials ~ Iowa Health Foundation - Outpatient Palliative Care Marjorie (Green) Selby was born February 5, 1932 to James and Mae (Lee) Green in Warrington, England. Marjorie met Bill Selby, at the movie theater in England. They were married in 1951 and blessed with three children: Gary, Gale, and Patricia. While Bill was in the service they traveled all over the world. She enjoyed traveling and the destinations, but not the long ocean voyages, train rides, or prop planes. She was thankful for jets and all the places they could take her. She enjoyed music and dancing, sewing, knitting, and crocheting. Marjorie loved her home and really enjoyed home improvements, rearranging furniture, and cleaning. Many will remember her great sense of humor and ability to have fun with her family and friends. Marjorie passed away November 29, 2012. Preceding her in death was her brother, Ken Green. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bill; children: Gary (Dar) Selby of Melcher-Dallas, Gale (Gary) Powell of Melcher-Dallas, and Patricia (Roger) Selby of Page, ND; 4 grandchildren: Carrie (Steve) Canada, James (Tenneille) Selby, Angie (Doug) DeJong, and Ashley Melvin; 8 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, June Green; along with other relatives and friends.
