Marie Jean Vanbenthuysen, age 91, of Bussey, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
Marie was born on March 31, 1928, the daughter of Gary and Margaret (Brown) Heaton.
Those left to cherish Marie’s memory include her daughters, Deborah Petersen of Bussey, and Melissa (Brad) Goemaat of Hamilton; three grandchildren, Bryan Vanbenthuysen, Matthew (Melinda) DenBurger, and Maddison Goemaat; and six great-grandchildren, Shyann, Ali, Shelby, Brock, Brayden, and Ayden.
Marie is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Vanbenthuysen; son, Michael Vanbenthuysen; and grandson, Jordan Petersen.
Marie’s wishes were to be cremated and services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 4, 2019 at the Bussey United Methodist Church in Bussey..
