Lydia Eleanor Clark, 90 of Lacona, Iowa passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021. Due to Covid-19 and in accordance with her wishes, there will be no funeral service. There will be a visitation with no family present on Friday, February 19, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Lacona, Iowa. Interment will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery near Oakley, with a brief private graveside service for family members only. Thank you for your understanding. The family requests no flowers. Eleanor went to the Norwood school through the ninth grade and graduated from Chariton High School in 1948. She worked at the P.M.A. Office in Chariton for two years before marrying Loral Glenn Clark on December 15, 1951 in Russell, Iowa. To this union, one daughter was born, Dixie Diane. After marriage, Eleanor lived most of her life on the Clark family farm near Lacona, Iowa. She always had a big vegetable and flower garden and canned and froze a lot of produce. She was a member of the Lacona Church of the Nazarene from 1956 until it closed in 2015. She taught Sunday School at the church for many years and served as the church Treasurer. She was a member of the ladies' neighborhood club, Know Your Neighbor Club. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Loral; and brothers: Harold Eaton and Richard Eaton. She leaves behind her daughter, Dixie Lawlor; her husband, Raymond of Mission, Kansas; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation
