Lorraine Judge

Lorraine Ann Judge, age 81, of Albia, Iowa died Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at the Monroe County Hospital in Albia. She was born June 20, 1926 in Des Moines to Olaf Melvin and Mary Marguerite (Nutter) Haugen. She married Joseph Patrick Judge on June 19, 1954 at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church in Georgetown, Iowa. Joseph died April 18, 2003. Lorraine was a graduate of Washburn High School in Minneapolis, MN. She was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Albia and of its Altar & Rosary Society. Lorraine was also a charter volunteer of Hospice of Monroe County and enjoyed spending her time with her children, grandchildren and friends. Lorraine?s passion in life was raising her five children. She is survived by her children; John P. (Mary Jo) Judge of Des Moines, Kenan (Kathi) Judge of Clive, Marla (Jim) Rohret of Des Moines, Margie (Jeff) Stoffa of Albia, and Mary Jo (Grant) Henry of Milo; 10 grandchildren; and one uncle, Sam (Kaye) Haugen of Northfield, MN. Her parents; her husband; one set of twins, son Daniel Joseph and one daughter Laura Ann Judge both in infancy; and one sister, Phyllis Luzan preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 3, 2007 at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church in Georgetown with Revs. Robert Lathrop, Joe Miller, and Tim Guthridge officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick?s Cemetery in Georgetown. Visitation will open after 12:00P.M. Thursday, August 2, 2007 at the Winfield Funeral Home in Albia with a 4:00 P.M. Rosary service and a 7:00 P.M. Christian wake service conducted by Rev. Tim Guthridge. The family will be present 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday evening. Memorials have been established to Hospice of Monroe County or to St. Patrick?s Catholic Church.
