Lois Jeanne McCorkle

Lois Jeanne McCorkle, 84, of Chariton, passed away January 7, 2021. Pierschbacher Funeral Home provided the final care for Lois. Services will be held at a later date and burial will be at the Columbia Cemetery. Lois was born the daughter of Cleo and Emma (Bellville) Ross on March 18, 1936 in Des Moines, Iowa. She had four children: Patti Stephens, Pam Mayfield, Michael Smith, and Melanie Kappelman. She married Billy McCorkle and gained three more children: Michael, Melinda, and Michelle. Those left to cherish Lois' memory are her children: Patti (Derald) Stephens, Pam Mayfield, Michael Smith, Melanie (Michael) Kappelman, Michael McCorkle, Melinda Jones, and Michelle Boyd; her grandchildren: Robert (Stacy) Stephens, Tim Stephens, Scott McGilvrey, Joshua (Paige) Kappelman, Caleb (Mindy) Kappelman, Samantha (Smith) (Kyle) Fausch, and Tyler (Minjin) Smith; and 11 great grandchildren.
