Lloyd Wilson Clark, age 88, of Albia, Iowa died Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at the Monroe County Hospital in Albia. He was born February 13, 1919 in Fillmore, Saskatchewan, Canada to Homer D. and Inez (Stump) Clark. He married Ruby Edna Wallace on April 4, 1943 at the First Christian Church in Albia. She passed away on March 9, 2005. Lloyd graduated from Albia High School, class of 1937. He farmed all of his life, starting near Moulton and Rathbun and moving to Monroe County in 1946. He farmed and did custom harvesting during World War II. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Albia; 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge in Lovilia, a past member of Farm Bureau and former recipient of the Farm Bureau Hall of Fame of Monroe County, and had also served on the Soil Conservation Board in Monroe County. In his early days he competed in local and state plowing contests. Farming was Lloyd?s passion, as he dearly loved harvest season and combining. Lloyd is survived by four children; Ronnie (Marlene) Clark of Albia, Donald (Nancy) Clark of Lakeville, MN, Carol (Bruce) Rahn of Marshalltown, IA, and Larry (Patty) Clark of Albia; one daughter-in-law, Connie Clark of Albia; one brother Glenn Clark of Albia. Lloyd is also survived by sixteen grandchildren: Cheryl (Greg) Armitage, Suzanne (Doug) Sprecher, Katie Clark, Laurie Clark, Debbie (Toby) Broadfield, Jerry (Pam) Rahn, Bill (Jen) Rahn, David Rahn, Chris Clark, Kevin Clark, Kylie Clark, Jessica Clark, Carrie Clark, Sarah Clark, Curtis Clark, and Janelle Clark, and five great grandchildren, Ruby Sprecher, Kaylee Sprecher, Clark Armitage, Emily Broadfield, and Abigail Sue Rahn. His parents; wife; one son, Steve Clark; and two brothers, Kenneth Clark and Melvin Clark preceded Lloyd in death. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 25, 2007 at 2:00 P.M., at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Albia, with Rev. Kevin Leveck officiating. Burial will follow services at Oak View Cemetery in Albia. Visitation will begin after 12:00 P.M., on Thursday, May 24, 2007 at the Winfield Funeral Home, with the family present from 6-8 P.M. Thursday evening. Casketbearers will be Jerry and David Rahn, Chris and Kevin Clark, Jerry May, and Rob Wallace. Honorary Casketbearers will be Bill Rahn and Curtis Clark. Memorials have been established to the Lloyd Clark Agricultural Scholarship.
