She was raised alongside her brother, Jack, in Perry, Iowa. Linda graduated from Saydel High School. On November 29, 1968, Linda was united in marriage to Roger Murray. The couple was blessed with two children, David and Lisa. They lived in Milo for years, and then moved to Ottumwa where they lived until recently moving to Knoxville to be closer to family. Linda and Roger were proud grandparents to seven grandchildren. Her grandchildren were her world. She loved each of them in a special way. She loved that she was able to baby-sit her oldest grandson, Cody, when he was born. She also loved when her grandson, Austin, was able to live with her after high school. They were great roommates. Linda worked in the banking industry and also did bookkeeping over the years. Linda was strong-willed, outspoken, feisty, and ornery, but she was also kind-hearted, loyal, and down to earth. She would drop everything to help family, friends, animals or a stranger. All were guaranteed to receive a card for each holiday, season, and special occasion. She wanted everyone to feel special and remembered. Linda was artistically gifted in many ways. She painted a mural on the wall of the new addition of the Milo Library. She enjoyed writing, decorating, and painting. She enjoyed reading and watching murder mysteries. Linda had a love of animals. She had dogs and cats and multiple bird feeders to watch the humming birds and the cardinals every morning. Linda enjoyed gardening and the color green. She enjoyed eating chocolate and was known at work for making the best brownies. She enjoyed drinking Diet Coke, playing rummy, and decorating for Halloween. She had her own witch costume that she loved to dress up in when handing out candy. After the young age of 50, Linda got her first two tattoos - one with her BFFs. Linda passed away October 2, 2016. She will be greatly missed by her husband, Roger Murray of Milo; son, David (Belinda) Murray of Carlisle; daughter, Lisa (Brian) Ridge of Marion; and grandchildren: Cody, Brandon, Austin, Drew, Parker, Bryce, and Jordan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Willa Mae Langford; and her brother, Jack Langford. Visitation
