Linda Kay Hackett, age 68, of Knoxville, Iowa, (formerly of Albia), passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at Knoxville Hospital and Clinics.
Linda was born on August 14, 1951 in Albia, Iowa, the daughter of Russell and Edith (Gardner) Hackett. Linda attended and graduated from Albia High School, Class of 1969. After high school, Linda attended Simpson College and studied Dictation. She was employed throughout the years in secretarial and administrative assistant positions.
Linda was blessed with four children, Brad, Tammi, Russell and Krystal. She enjoyed watching movies, playing solitaire and adult coloring books. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Linda’s wishes were to be cremated. A private family burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville.
Linda is survived by her children, Brad (Amanda) Hackett of Harvey, Tammi (Rob) Winchester of Council Bluffs, Russell Norton of Knoxville, and Krystal Norton of Knoxville; seven grandchildren, Sami (Nathan) McFall, Santina (Lance) Beason, Dallas Burk, Dalton Burk, Kendrick Evans, Devi Evans, and Christina Norton; five great-grandchildren, Colton, Presley, Sophia, Liberty, and Hayden; siblings, Mary Peterson of Centerville, Joan (Ellis) Williams of Lovilia, and Jim (Judy) Hackett of Albia.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Edith Hackett; and siblings, Mabel Collett, Ava Russell, and Albert Hackett.
Memorials may be given in Linda’s memory to her grandchildren.
