LaVerne "Bud" Byers

Bud was born on October 5, 1937 in Dallas, Iowa son of Arlo and Mimalee Byers. Bud married Judy on March 6, 1961 in Des Moines. They made their home in Melcher-Dallas until they moved to Princeton, Missouri 11 years ago. Bud owned the auto-electric repair shop in Melcher and in Princeton. Bud enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. You could often find Bud watching NASCAR or doing woodworking. Bud loved his children and cherished every moment with his grandchildren. Bud passed away on May 15, 2007 at his home in Princeton. Bud is survived by his wife Judy of Princeton; sons: Mike Byers of Knoxville and Rusty Byers of Princeton; daughters: Rhonda Clark of Indianapolis, Cindy Bebee of Melcher-Dallas and Penny Fisher of Des Moines; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 3 sisters: Beulah Hoeft, Donna Clark and Linda Titus all of Des Moines. Bud is preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Heather Gabriel Byers; and sister, Shirley Illingworth.
