Larry Richard Harmon Larry Richard Harmon, age 65, of Albia, Iowa died Monday, January 22, 2007 at the Monroe County Hospital in Albia. He was born April 12, 1941 in Oskaloosa, Iowa to Homer C. and Grace Elizabeth (Wymore) Harmon. He married Kim Emanuel on April 5, 1980 in the First Baptist Church in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Larry was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the U.S. Army. He had worked as an auto mechanic for 25 years retiring in 1991. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post in Albia. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and having coffee with his buddies at Country Kitchen in Ottumwa. He especially enjoyed cooking with family but loved baking for family and friends. He survived by his wife, Kim of Albia; two daughters, Debbie (Danny) Gates of Elkins, West Virginia and Terri (Steve) Campbell of Moulton, Iowa; 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Mary Erickson of Oskaloosa, Iowa and Lucille (Jack) Vance of Bondurant, Iowa. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Carol Williams and Lila Roberts. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, January 25, 2007 at the Winfield Funeral Home in Albia with Rev. Kevin Leveck officiating. Military Rites by Howard Cessna Post No. 136 of Albia will be conducted after the service. Burial of cremated remains will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to Hospice of Monroe County.
