Larry Dean Chilcote

Larry Dean Chilcote, age 81, of Knoxville, and formerly of Newton and Tracy, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021, at Westridge Specialty Care Center in Knoxville.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at the Bellefountaine Cemetery in Tracy, Iowa.
Larry was born on November 20, 1939, in Mahaska County, Iowa. He was the son of Elza Clinton and Emma Eldora (McCombs) Chilcote. Larry was raised in Tracy and graduated from Tracy High School, Class of 1958.
After high school Larry farmed with his family. He farmed most of his life and in his later years worked and retired from Walmart in Newton, where he lived for several years.
On March 13, 1971, Larry and Sandra “Sandy” Kerr were united in marriage. They were blessed with 44 years of marriage before Sandy passed away on April 28, 2015.
Larry enjoyed his family and working. Two of his favorite treats in life was chocolate and Pepsi.
Larry is survived by his three sisters, Sandra (Don) Edwards of Oskaloosa, Janice Chilcote of Oskaloosa, and Karen Jacobs of Knoxville; and several nieces and nephews.
Larry is preceded in death by his wife Sandra “Sandy” Chilcote; his parents, Elza and Emma Chilcote; and two brothers Bill Chilcote and Clifford Chilcote.
