Funeral services for Kirk Dudley, 81, of Chariton will be held Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton with family receiving friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. There will be a luncheon held following the service for a time of fellowship. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lucas County Veterans Memorial Park.

Interment will be at the Troy Mills Cemetery on Monday, July 26, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.
Kirk Bruce Dudley was born on January 4, 1940, to Lowell and Alma (Price) Dudley in Iowa City, Iowa. He attended school in Walker, Iowa. Beginning at a young age, Kirk enjoyed going fishing and hunting. He also loved to bowl and was on a bowling league most of his life.
On July 25, 1964, Kirk married Wanda Miller at the North Island Naval Air Station in San Diego, California, and they became a family of five with daughters Laurie, Rhonda, and Julie. He was a Navy Veteran, retiring after 23 years (1957-1980).
After his Navy retirement, he attended Boise State/Boise Bible College where he was ordained a pastor in 1991. He pastored at four churches and touched many people through his faith and bible study teachings. He did mission work in Colorado and Iowa for 20 years.
Kirk passed away at home on July 21, 2021, surrounded by family. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Wanda; daughters: Laurie Dudley, Rhonda (Dan) Liddell, and Julie Morton; nine grandchildren: Kristopher, Melisa, Brandon, Amanda, Brittney, Jacob, Ivana, Warren, and Hunter; 12 great grandchildren plus another on the way; and siblings: Lylburn (Betty) Dudley and Maribelle Benesh; along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents: Lowell and Alma Dudley; and siblings: Leland, Quentin, Elmer, Lavona Kress, Rudolph, Maxine Ham, and Callie Olsen.
