Kathy Anne Clark

Kathy Clark, 73, of Melcher-Dallas, passed away August 27, 2023.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Melcher-Dallas. Family will receive friends Friday, October 13, 2023, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. also at the church.

Kathy was born on December 4, 1949, in Knoxville, Iowa to Jim and Mae (Buban) Konrad. She led a rich and fulfilling life, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She married Craig Clark on October 19, 1968. To this union, three children were born: Rick, Jason, and Angie. When the kids were growing up, Kathy was able to stay home with them.

Once her kids were grown, Kathy began working at D&S Grocery in town. She enjoyed this not only to catch up on the latest happenings, but to be out and see people in the community. She also enjoyed playing Bingo at the American Legion.

Kathy's home was always open to family and friends. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed cooking for others. Family gatherings were particularly special to Kathy, especially when they involved her beloved grandchildren. She took immense joy in attending their games and activities, supporting them wholeheartedly from the sidelines.

Kathy also had a close bond with her siblings. She shared countless memories with them, especially her sister, Emily. They could find plenty of things to do together, including shopping and traveling.

Kathy will forever be remembered for her kind heart, selflessness, and unwavering love for her family. Her warm smile and infectious laughter brightened the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. While her physical presence may be missed, the memories she created will continue to bring comfort and joy to countless lives.

Kathy is survived by her children: Rick (Sarah) Clark, Jason (Connie) Clark, and Angie Buman; grandchildren: Maddison, Emma, Drew, Gabe, Landen, Ava, and Hudson; brothers, Bill Konrad, Rick (Dixie) Konrad, and Kevin Konrad; sister-in-law, Judith Konrad; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Craig; parents, Jim and Mae Konrad; brother, Jim Konrad Jr.; and sister, Emily (Danny) Davis.
