Funeral Services for Julie Lynn Quick, 47, will be Monday, October 3, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Lacona. Family will receive friends from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at the funeral home. Everyone is encouraged to wear their favorite NFL attire! Julie was born March 18, 1969 in Des Moines, Iowa to Charles and Lana Brewer. She grew up in Milo and graduated from SEW High School in 1987. Her nickname by many who grew up with her is 'Brew'. In high school she was a proud cheerleader and that didn't stop throughout her life! She married Damon Quick, the love of her life, on June 18, 1994. They were blessed with two children: Zach and Allisa. She was a dedicated employee for Wells Fargo as an Executive administrative assistant 12 years. Julie was best assistant ever. Julie loved life and lived every moment to the fullest. Everything in her life centered on her family and friends. She enjoyed playing cribbage with her friends and visiting with friends at O'Neal"s. She loved to go camping with everyone and spending time out at the farm. Her most recent passion was planning her and Damon's dream home. She made every occasion worthwhile and extremely special, always putting everyone before herself and would drop everything to be there for someone in need. She loved taking frequent trips to Las Vegas with Damon. Most recently shared a trip to Florida for Allisa's 21st birthday. She loved being with Zach, Allisa & Damon around the campfires, watching football. She had many she called her children and they came to her for advice. She was the 'Mama Bear'. She loved going on a good deer hunt with Damon or cruising the back roads looking for deer. She loved purple and was a die-hard Vikings fan. Julie was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and she loved her granddaughter, Madilynn, to the moon and back. She was THE BEST sister ever!!!!!! Julie passed away suddenly on September 28, 2016 at her home. Preceding her in death was her mother-in-law, Donna Quick. She will be greatly missed by her parents: Charles and Lana Mock Brewer; her husband, Damon Quick; her children: Zach Quick and Allisa (Nick) Williams; granddaughter, Madilynn Williams; sisters: Angela (Andy) Illingworth and Lisa (Bob) Klages; father-in-law, Jim Quick; and brothers-in-law: Jason Quick and Daron Quick; along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
