A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for Jody Reneė Gerstner, 39, of Chariton. Pierschbacher Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the family.
Jody was born on March 7, 1982, in Denver, Colorado. She attended high school at Lakewood High in Colorado up until her sophomore year. In 1999, Jody moved to Iowa.
Jody was always on the go, never sitting still. She loved sports growing up, especially softball and volleyball. She was a waitress before she achieved her construction certificate online. Jody was an amazing person with a heart of gold and always did the best she could for those she cared for.
Jody will be greatly missed by her mother, Karen; daughter, Kierra Halferty; sister, Sandy Gerstner; brother, Robert Gerstner; uncles, Mike (Daynene) Worrell and Roy (Sherry) Johnson; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
