Jerry Grim

Jerry Dale Grim, age 68, of Lovilia, Iowa died Monday morning, October 16, 2006 at the Oakwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Albia. He was born December 24, 1937 in Brookfield, Missouri to David and Mary (Standard) Grim. He married Donna Clark on September 7, 1961 in Knoxville, Iowa. Jerry had worked at various places in the Albia area and most recently at Monroe County Professional Management. He is survived by his wife, Donna Grim of Lovilia; one son, Jeff Grim and his wife Christine of Albia and one daughter, Jodi Koons and her husband Dean of Carlisle, Iowa. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Kenny and Alicia Grim and Logan Koons. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, October 19, 2006 at the Winfield Funeral Home in Albia with Rev. Kevin Leveck officiating. Military Rites will be conducted at the funeral home following the service by the Howard Cessna Post No. 136 American Legion of Albia. Cremation will follow the service and burial of cremated remains will be held at a later date in the Marysville Cemetery in Marysville, Iowa. Visitation will open after 12 P.M. (noon) on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at the Winfield Funeral Home in Albia with the family present from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday evening. Casketbearers will be Rick, Randy, and Austin Clark, Bill Stufflebeam, Kenny Grim and Ryan Shaw. Honorary Casketbearers will be Alicia Grim and Logan Koons. Memorials have been established to Hospice of Monroe County.
