Janice E. Sinnott, age 67, of Albia died Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at the Monroe County Hospital in Albia. She was born July 1, 1939 in Johnson County to Frank and Fern (Smith) Vance. She married John F. Sinnott on June 30, 1956. She was a member of St, MaryÂ?s Catholic Church in Albia and the Altar & Rosary Society. She retired from DeLong Sportswear in Albia. Janice enjoyed sports and spending time with her family. Janice is survived by her children, Rick (Lorraine) Sinnott of Oskaloosa, Kenny (Jackie) Sinnott of Chariton, Helene Griffin (Tom Willemsen) of Rose Hill, Karen (Bruce) Rockwell and Lori (Steve) Rockwell both of Albia, and Barb Sinnott (Jason Nevels) of Newton; 22 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; her mother, Fern Vance of Bussey; three sisters, Betty (Dale) Grace of Oskaloosa, Patty Barnhill of Bussey, and Beverly Armstrong of Knoxville. She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Sinnott; two children, a daughter Cheryl Ann and son Bernie; her father, Frank Vance; one brother, Charles Vance; two sisters, her twin Judith Sinclair and Louise Spaur. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, January 13, 2007 at St. MaryÂ?s Catholic Church in Albia with Rev. William Walter, C.PP.S. officiating. Burial will follow services in St. PatrickÂ?s Cemetery in Georgetown. Visitation will open after 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 12 at the Winfield Funeral Home in Albia. A Rosary service will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Friday and a Christian Wake Service will be held at 6:30 P.M. Friday evening at the funeral home. The family will be present from 5-8 P.M. Friday. Casketbearers will be Greg Sinnott, Danny, Mike and Mark Rockwell, Joshua and Curtis Sinnott and Jacob Griffin. Honorary Casketbearers will be Devin Hugen and Derek Rockwell. Memorials may be made in JaniceÂ?s name and will be directed at a later time to Monroe County Athletics.
